This plant is an innovative dimentional test system (SDC). The system consists of a series of custom laser personalized internally in BMB which are the base of the whole plant. Several components and accessories could be integrated to perform other measurements (laser scanning, welding profile measurement, ultrasounds controls, induced current, ecc..)

Measurements possible:
- Pipe weight: Tolerance Measurement +/- 0.5%
- Length: appreciation +/-1mm (on 4 points)
- Chamfer weldings: detection of 4 points. It must be measure the angles and the height of the witness
- Perpendicularity tolerance of the side: + / - 0.5 on perpendicular plane to the tube's axis
- Diameters: every 30° (4 or 6 diameters), min. pitch 1 mt; tolerance +/ - 0,1
- Local roundness: every 20° local round control
- Circumference and linearity: at least on 3 planes (one of which contains the welding)
- External side welding seam: tolerance +/ - 0,1 on welding seam height.
- Internal view with the ability to record video.
